I rooted my galaxy S and installed One click lag fix while i was on 2.1 eclair, then i installed this kernel called voodoo2(being a total newbie), then my phone wouldn't turn on, so i did a factory reset and wiped the phone that seemed to fix the problem and i installed all the apps i had and got everything back (still on 2.1 eclair). I was still rooted when i updated to Froyo 2.2 and the same thing happened!!!! my phone would get stuck on the galaxy S logo and then the screen would turn black but the buttons at the bottom were lit and still on! so i did another factory reset and that fixed the problem. but will i have to do a factory reset every time i update? its getting really annoying, im unrooted but my under the kernel version on my phone it says root@SE-S604#6 does that mean im still rooted? and will factory reset get rid of that voodoo kernel i installed?? please helpp
