HELP.. ROGERS / TELUS PHONE QUESTION.?

I have a telus contract. My brother has a rogers phone he wants to sell.. I wanna buy it off him and put it onto my telus contract, we're going to get a telus sim card.. but will that work ? its an LG EVE (rogers) .. PLEASE HELP ! I have a telus LG KEYBO now and i hate it ! I really want the rogers LG EVE to switch and put onto my contract !!!!!!!!
