Help, questioning husband's cellphone.?

First of all, why are you going through his phone listening to his voice mail? They always say be careful what you look for because you always find something. If you don't trust him, leave him. How would you like it if he all of a sudden started going through your phone?
 
Recently i have noticed phone calls to and from my husbands phone from someone who he works with. he has voicemails saying "hey baby i was wondering if you were coming over tonigh".. and the phone calls last for hours.. he says its just random talking because they are friends, and that she has a boyfriend... what is you opinion on the situation.. thank you.
