J Joey New member Sep 11, 2010 #1 The question is, "How many ounces of pure water should be added to 20 ounces of a 40% solution of muriatic acid to obtain a 30% solution of muriatic acid?" I know that the answer is 20/3 oz. of water, I just can't figure out how to get there.
