Hi i am writing because my husband bought a blackberry 7230 off of ebay after his blackberry 7100t broke. It will not make or receive calls. I have called and talked to tmobile 3-4 different times today and was on the phone no less then 30 minutes to almost 2 hours with each different person. I am trying to obviously get the phone to make and receive calls but i want to try and figure out the pin code so i can enable the security or just to know it in general. I already know how to find the pin that you need for blackberry messenger and all that good stuff but i need the pin code. I am guessing it is some sort of password or something?? If anyone can help please let me know.
 
So when you turn it on, it askes for a pin code?? if that's so then it's maybe not a t-mobile phone and you have to unlock it.. or the previous owner set a pass code before you can access the phone. For that you need to do a master reset..
 
I don't want to sound mean here but i don't understand why people buy used blackberries on ebay...

Wish i could help more than saying well..try contacting the seller and ask him/her what is the pin.
 
i have done a couple master resets and they didn't work and my husband also erased the whole operating system and we had to reput it in. We haven't had any other problem with our blackberry 7100t that we bought except his got broke. It doesn't ask for the code when i turn it on just when i go to enable the security. Maybe i don't need to do that. I dunno i am just trying to get the phone to work. When we try to make calls it says sorry emergency calls only and if someone tries to call it just goes to the voicemail.
 
yes and yes. I can receive emails and text and even send them for that matter but it's just can't make or receive calls.
 
I sent T-Mobile a book of an email explaining everything we've done to the phone to try and figure it out and i asked them for a lock code. So hopefully i'll get that within the next few days. But if anyone can figure something out before then if you can let me know still that would be great. Thank you.
