HELP Please... my N80 wont turn on

for some reason it wont turn on..

i let the batt drain out coz its brand new and was told the first time to let it charge for 24hrs, then for the first couple times to just let the batt drain out completely then charge it again..

now it wont turn on..

when i plug the phone to the charger and to the wall, i can see the NOKIA words then it fades out.. i keep holding onto the power button but nothing.. tried it with the slider up.. still not booting up..

plz help.. thanx
 
try letting the battery charge without touching the phone for a while. i've had some unused phones take up to 15mins before it actually starts to charge.

letting batteries completely drain will decrease its lifespan.

if nothing works, get a new battery.. make it two while you're at it..
 
crappy... no good.. i let it charged for 1hr.. try that master reset.. damn.. i think the batt just crapped out on me... i hope its the batt and not he phone..
 
Are you seeing the battery meter scroll up and down while it's off and charging.....and for future reference, batteries no longer need to be trained. A study was done and the only benefit you get is when it fully depletes and recharges it will hold a better charge through that cycle....but charging-draining-charging-draining offers no real benefit anymore.
 
i dont see anything on the screen...

when i plug the phone in the charger, i see NOKIA in blue.. then 10secs it fades out.. i dont see the batt scrolling up or down as if was charging...

i tryied the master reset with the batt in and out.. tired while having it in the charger and not plugged in.. tried with the slider up and down.. and each time pressing 3-4times for for about 5-10secs...
 
i have a question...

since i got my phone from china, will there be a problem with buying and using a North American batt?

andi do believe that its the batt thats dead.. coz the screen does show NOKIA in blue when i plug in the charger.. but it just wont turn on...
