Help Please How do I delete photos before taking Laptop to repair?

I need help please
I need to remove all the photos from my laptop before the guy repairs it, I had surgery and there are many private photos there.

my husband opened teh laptop and removed the memory card from it, it contained 2 separate ones, I am just wondering without those can teh repair guy still be able to view my pictures?

please let me know my laptop is dead so i cant manually erase them.

Just back them up on a flash drive or an external hard drive and delete them.
