Ok, I am a "veteran" author. You should never start a book on the computer by typing. It makes it much, much harder to revise your rough copy once you complete it. Writing it may take longer, but it is easier to look at the story and make corrections. Trust me. For some reason, as I look at my friends' papers, written stories read much better than typed. There is more character in writing, it seems. But, you don't have to listen to me.
