Help on Understanding Financial Aid?

I'm not going to be needing all of my aid this year, and I'm not interested in taking out more than my need. I'm trying to decide what to accept, and I was hoping someone could help explain the difference between these loans.

Federal Perkins Loan
Fed Subsidized Direct Loan
Fed Unsubsidized Direct Loan
