Help on flight/hotel info for London Olympics?

I have decided that I'm going to save my money and try to go to some of the London Olympics in 2012...it has always been a dream of mine to see England. But my question is how soon should I buy the flight and hotel (I'm planning on staying for 10 days)? I had been looking on expedia.com where you can buy a flight/hotel combo. Would that be better?
 
travelocity and hotels.com most of the time they do the hotels and flights together so you can save money. im sure they wouldnt have anything for a while. but try to get it the soonest it comes avaible.
