Help on final art project?!?

For my final art project, I want to make it commenting on how young girls are corrupted by the media at an early age. That was my original idea, but the prof says I'm being to literal in my approach. I'm completely tired of thinking over this. I have no idea what to do anymore, I'm so intimidated by her that I'm almost afraid to do anything. I'm almost thinking about commenting on how it is seen as sexy in popular culture, to appear as a child (ex: halloween costumes, women shaving their pubes). I'm out of way to show these things. I need help with all this! Any ideas?
 
Art doesn't have to be social commentary... it can simply be interesting or appealing to the eye... over-thinking it is the hardest path to take. I find that it's much like writing, just "free create" and see what happens. Often the piece will "take on a life of its own" and you'll find that it will guide you through the process. That's when its fun and easy.
