Help on film name........

Hi
Im trying to find the name of a film i watched over 10-15 years ago and i need some help off you guys :D

ok here it goes...........
The film is about a family that go out on their yacht, they hit a storm and then they end up in a cold place with no food, water etc.
In order for them to survive the father and eldest son decide to leave the 2 youngest daughters on their own whilst they sail back up the river to get rations and help.
When the father and son find a hut the father cuts away part of his foot as it is frost bitten.
In the mean time the 2 girls are left to literally freeze to death and they start to eat all sorts of stuff that gets washed up in the sea.

Please please help me on this one..... i dont think its ever come out on dvd - VHS was its only release.

I have seen some years ago on UK tv it but sadly the title escapes me.

I do remember it was based on a true story, I think it was set in Canada.

Maybe a search for true life survival stories will help track it down.
 
Well researched zebedee, it is indeed 'Anything To Survive'.

I wouldn't have remembered the title, to be honest, but from the description and your research, I can confirm that it is the film.
