Help on deciding on a new phone from Verizon?

I am getting a new phone for christmas, but I was wondering if there are any new phones that are coming worth holding off for maybe till January? I really don't want to waste my upgrade and see something come out 2 weeks after i get a new one. If it helps I'm thinking of either the Droid X or Droid 2
