Okay so the school year ended and now in august i'll be a senior. I'm going to do cross country because that is one of the sports i do and am up there with the top people. but after that, this is wheree the dillema comes in. I want to do basketball like i did this schoo year along with track which i turned out to be good in. My track coach said that I shouldn't do basketball because she could garantee me a spot in college with a scholarship. My basketball coach said she'd love to have me but I would have to put in a lot of work to catch up with my basketball season to keep up with the other varsity girls. I'd say that I'm good at that but I'm better at cross country and track (400 m 800m nd 1mile). b ball coach also said that i'd have to work hard so i'd outshine some of the really good b ball players to get a scholarship. So I wasn't going to play b ball and focus on running. But I really like basketball and it turned out that my track coach was holding on to my recruitment letter for basketball (you know scouting me blah blah) for a month until the school year ended and she had to give it to me. That pissed me off. But now I don't know what to do. I've been training for both during this summer but i'm baffled on what to do and my parents don't really care about scholarships because I can get an academic scholarship. Only problem is that basketball cuts into the track season a little (about 1/4 of the way if we make it to the playoffs then it will take a little more.) Can anyone tell me what I should do?
