Help on a Mixed Media art project please?

Ok, so for my art class, we have to make a mixed media project. We can something political, something related to childhood, or a repeated symbol.

I'm going more for the repeating symbol, and I have a few ideas, but I can't really think of good arrangements. I also have to use paint, 3-D things, etc, basically just not one art material.

Ideas:
- Paris (using a fluer de lis for the symbol, incorporating the eiffel tower and a cafe)
- Music (Ipod, music notes, etc)
- A Holiday
- Food (any kind)
- A Popular Brand (like coca cola or starbucks)

Any more ideas are welcome and appreciated. My favorite is the french them so if you have any ideas please post them.
