Help! Nutrafin Cycle not working, ammonia hasnt dropped! 10 points best answer!?

I have a 10g with a zebra danios. i tested the water and ammonia was stressful, so i bought nutrafin cycle to cycle tank and reduce ammonia, after dosing 3 days as instructions say, ammonia lvls are still stressfull. why didnt it work? Today i added a snail. i dont know what species it is, its apple or mystery, got it from petsmart. help! lady there told me to use the ammonia remover i have, should i?
No its not overstocked, they need 20 g for shoals, its single and its tiny.
 
Zebras danios are schooling fish. They need 6+ and 20+ gallons. Ammonia removers and most cycle helps do not work. Do a 25-50% water change to reduce the ammonia.
