Help! no sound on n73

Recently my n73 has just went silent. I can't hear any music and i can't hear people talking. I turned off my bluetooth to make sure its not connected to anything. The phone does however think that its connected to some kind of headset since it has the the icon in the upper right. Is there a way to fix this? The phone is only a month old and has never been dropped. Any help would be appreciated.
 
have you tried plugging in a wired headset to see if you can get sound that way. And maybe after unplugging it the headset symbol will clear itself.
