I'm going to take my O'levels as a private candidate. I never had tuition in my life. I used to go to school but dropped out of school to be home-schooled. I'm self-taught. And I will get tuition soon for my weak subjects.
I've chosen to take English, EMaths, Chinese, Combined Science (Bio & Chem.), Humanities= Social Studies and Hist, Art and Elective Literature.
I'm extremely weak in Maths and thus have chosen to opt out of AMaths. and I've decided to take Chemistry instead of Physics.
My question is: How does the O'levels go? Do I need to have coursework done? What about lab test for Science? And how do I prepare for Art? Also, when will I get the question papers for subjects which need preperatory work?
My Dad's an artist. And I hope to enroll in an Art school in Paris. I'm 16 years old and hope to take my O'levels next year, in 2011. However, I'm still hazy about the whole Cambridge system, cause' no one ever explained it to me.
So I hope someone kind will explain the process of taking the O'levels and if you were once a private candidate for O'levels, how did it go?
