Help needed from a parts guru

First off what i am trying to do is put the chrome passenger brackets with the swept wing passenger foot boards with stealth insert on a 08 Road Glide...now the questions...I looked up the part numbers for the springs and come up with p/n's 33089-04 and 33085-74 not sure what the difference is in them or there is any...now the detent balls come up with p/n's 8860 and 8861...i have figured out that one is a steel ball and the other is a plastic ball as the dealer had the plastic ones in stock and i figured the plastic may be easier on the chrome covers. So if anyone knows the difference in the springs or which ones would work a big thanks to you. If it is any help the 05 SE Electra Glide has the pans and inserts i am wanting to use.
 
From what I can remember the springs are different lengths, but the balls are the same size, either will work. You'll have to measure the depth of the floor board bracket hole to determine spring size.
 
Evidently Harley also decided to change the pass. floor board brackets p/n 53070-00A so that they don't have the pin like in the picture on the website now they have a 2nd bolt.
 
That is correct. Introduced as a change on bikes last year and all replacement parts for earlier models use the same now. As for the springs, use the -74 ones and the 8860 balls
