HELP...!!!...Need help with my itouch 8gb?

Ok..i have the Itouch 8gb...1st gen...why does my itunes not have the sync apps tab on the sync menu...i have music podcasts vidoes ebooks...ect...but NO APPS TAB...Wtf..?...Where is it..?...how do i get one...And do i have to pay money to get it..?...i have some apps downloaded and they are on the left hand side menu on itunes...under the heading apps but they wont go on to the ipod...and i looked it up in they said to make shur i ticked the boxs...under the apps tab..!!!
 
Make sure you have a proper screen resolution. If your screen resolution is less than the minimal size the apps tab may not appear. Also, try updating iTunes and your iPod firmware to the latest version if not already.
