I went to the dentist a little over a week ago and my teeth were fine. I have all four of my wisdom teeth coming in (some more than others) and up until 4 days ago, none of them have been hurting. Since then, my lower left one hurts - a lot. If there is no movement in my mouth, the pain is basically unnoticeable but when I move my mouth it starts up a bit and when I touch the gum area alongside and behind where the tooth would be (if it was fully in), the pain is slightly unbearable. I can't tell if it's swollen or not although around there is a bit redder (that could be just from me touching it all the time). The thing is, the dentist said that my mouth looks big enough to fit all my wisdom teeth (my teeth have always been perfectly straight and my mouth is pretty big, same with my parents too) and she said I was lucky because a lot of people need to have them removed.
But I'm worried because this is the last tooth to come in and all the other wisdom teeth did not hurt as much as this one. I tried an oral anesthetic (which does not work at all) and I'm trying the salt and water thing right now. How can I tell if this is just normal pain from it coming in or something more serious?
