So my brother had a audio guy install a stereo in my 2000 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. Turns out, the previous owner had removed all the speakers and cut the antenna wire out. So I have no radio (I bought speakers) and when I play my stereo past a certain volume it starts to blink on and off as if the disc is skipping (sort of like a shortage or something?). Also when I turn my headlights on the stereo shuts completely off. It turns back on once I shut my headlights off. Meaning no cruising in the dark with sounds! The audio guy told my bother that the previous owner also cut into the "problem" (don't know what the wire is called) wire, which is causing the headlight problem and the volume problem. Something about their not getting enough power??
Does anyone know about the wire he's referring too? Like which wire is it and what's it called and where can I buy it from?
OR
Does he know what he's talking about? Could he have hooked up the stereo to some wiring that's controlling my headlights and making the stereo short out when it goes pass a certain volume, that he wasn't suppose to?
I NEED HELP! As you can see, I don't know about this stuff. Your HELP would be much appreciated!
Also can the antenna wire be replaced and is it expensive to do?
