Help My rottie was just diagnosed with Wobbler's syndrome and I'm debating

surgery - has anyone gone thru this? I was told that after surgery he might not be able to walk again - but if he doesn't have the surgery, the condition will worsen and then he won't be able to walk! I need advice bad - has anyone had a large breed dog with this condition and what was your outcome??
