Every time I set a goal for myself, I end up "zoning out" and my life flies by without me realizing what is happening. My goal is rarely completed, I don't get other stuff done during the intermediate time, and I cannot figure out: 1. where the time went, 2. What I was doing with that time, 3. Why I wasn't able to complete the goal that I had set.
During a normal day I will try to do something, but 1-2 hours will pass when the task I was doing should have taken less than 10 or 15 minutes. Weeks and months pass by and I get nothing done, and it feels like its only been a day or a week. If I set a goal, like "I'll do this"- and I make a plan I end up zoned out until its near the deadline, then I look at my plan and see only one or two steps have been done, and now it's three months later. It's getting worse, I fear that YEARS will start flying past before I realize what is going on.
What can I do to stop this from happening?
