HELP my friend is being pulled to the dark side

IMO Vrods are great.........................to look at!
Same potato-potato-potato as all the other ones, not to mention a boat engine company finally put an end to the oil leaking curse. Almost all my buddyes have Harleys and I also ride with them; but when you pull up to a bike hang out, wich bike will draw attention? I have to say that HD riders have a lot of respect for Italian bikes in general, at least here, especially Ducatis.

Some unimpressive and innaccurate posts here, reminding me interestingly of close-minded posts at Harley boards. Ironically there's some like-mindedness between the two camps. You have much in common.

Cruising is a valid form of the sport just as are race bikes or dual sports. As a matter of fact with most riders content to keep things below 100mph, and preferring how a bike delivers an experience below 100mph versus above, there's little wonder why cruising is easily the largest subcategory of motorcycling.

Egads, I've been all over this country on two wheels and the majority of roads I've been on are ideal for cruising versus a hyper overkill race replica. As Cycle World noted recently, 99% of overkill sportbikes never, ever see a track. Many would ask, who's the lemming with their Power Rangers leathers, frame sliders, license plate relocation kits, full Yosh exhaust systems as they tool around on bone straight roads and in city traffic, with never a need to go higher than 3rd gear.

No one says you have to dress like a pirate and bar hop if you ride H-D or a metric cruiser. Many don't. I don't. Separate the lifestyle from the bike. Do the same for those on their race replicas at a coffee shop. The H-D bike is outstanding. Nothing cruises like it. Some can't stand cruising. That's OK. Glad I don't have those limits. Oh, and FWIW, the V-Rod rocks.

Sorry if I said something mindless about HD, I didn't mean to offend any owner of one, I respect them and the rider that comes with it; I see the difference of the riding style and no, I've got nothing to do with coffee hang outs and race like wanna bes; I just rather ride a monster if I keep it under a 100!

Ma tu sei Italiano se mi ricordo, giusto? E' un pezzo che non ti vedo in questo forum. Meno male che c'e' qualcuno da NY ....qua ci sono solo sudisti....ggrreeezzzzziiiiiiii.
Ciao
