He's a silver dollar that I've had for about two months. Just recently my tank was cracked, and I haven't been able to afford a new one. All of my fish were in apparent good health until then.
I drained about three or four inches from my tank to get the water below the crack, and was waiting until my next paycheck to get a new one, but in the meantime had to go out of town and leave them in the care of my friend. When I came back, two of my silver dollars were dead--one by filter, the other was just floating upside-down.
My two glofish and my placostamus seem fine. I think maybe the extra turbulence caused by the miniscule waterfall that my filter has been creating has been stressing my silver dollars and possibly keeping them from being able to eat.
I set up a second tank that I had already owned (but hadn't transferred my fish to because it was too small for all of them) and did an emergency tank transfer (I set up the second tank, let it run for about 5 hours to stabilize (I know you're supposed to let it run for 24 but I was panicking) and transferred him over) for my last silver dollar, who is missing scales and currently laying on the bottom of my tank. His gills are still moving but I don't know if there is anything I can do for him. For a little while, he seemed to be doing better but he's now back to a seemingly worse state than he was before. It probably wasn't the best thing I could do but it was the only thing I could think of at the time.
If there's anything I can do PLEASE let me know.
Edit:
Also, is there anything I can do to make sure my placostomus and glofish stay alive? I'm getting a new tank as soon as possible, but I don't know if I should transfer all three to my little 1.5 gallon tank.
