The topic is 'Barbie at 50 is a good role-model. I am the 1st speaker of the affirmative team, so I can't rebut. As well as a definition, introduction, summary and a teamline, I am talking about Barbie's life experience, accessories and her appeal throughout the world.
I currently have the following information:
Barbie has many interests. She has run for president and been an astronaut, paleontologist, teacher, surgeon, veterinarian, dentist, fashion model, flight attendant, ambassador for world peace, NASCAR driver and princess. She has traveled the world and gone back in time, exploring new and different cultures as she continues to learn.
- Barbie at 50 is available with more multicultural changes in her appearance. These changes include a zebra-striped bathing suit, blonde hair tied up in a ponytail and her eyes a blue shadow. There are also design centers where visitors can create their own dolls. With Barbie’s boyfriend, Ken, Barbie gains over 100 outfits a year and over 1 billion of shoes.
Barbie’s features represent girls’ dreams and her features appeal to millions of girls worldwide. She is a neat girl with a figure fitting every fashion.
Barbie’s races are inclusive. For example, she now has traditionally Asian features, so Asians may be interested and play with them, likewise many other races in the world and their citizens, while Barbie’s boyfriend, Ken appeals to boys and contains features and many different fashions, which interest boys.
Barbie is now 50 and she is not the cliché blonde stereotype that she used to be. She started out as a blonde bimbo but she now has 50 years of life experience. She is now more intelligent with a broad range of interests. She can do almost anything and she is therefore many different people as opposed to her starting years, when she was unrealistic and only one type of girl.
Barbie attended Willows High school and the fictional Manhattan High School in New York and met her boyfriend, Ken. She has come along way.
For these reasons, we believe Barbie at 50 is a good role model.
My debate has to be 3-4 minutes. Is there any information I can add on to any of my points?
