Can someone help me figure these? Given three words, need a fourth.

For example - paint, doll, cat = house ( house paint, doll house, house cat)

call, pay, line =
end, burning, blue =
man, hot, sure =
stick, hair, ball =
blue, cake, cottage =
man, wheel, high =
motion, poke, drown =
stool, powder, ball =
wood, liquor, luck =
house, village, golf =
water, pen, soda =
steady, cart, slow =
leg, arm, person =
spin, tip, shape =
sharp, thumb, tie =
back, short, light =
man, order, air =
bath, up, gum =
ball, out, jack =

Any help at all would be greatly appreciate. Thank you very much.
 
I couldn't figure them all out but here's a couple guesses that I have.

call, pay, line = phone
ball, out, jack = black
back, short, light = hair

I'll come back later and see if I can try to help out some more!
 
Call, Pay, Line = Phone
Stool, Powder, Ball = Foot (Mabye)
House, Village, Golf = Club (Mabye)
Water, Pen, Soda = Can (Mabye)
Spin, Tip, Shape = Top
