Help me to choose a bike?

I need to know which bike I need.I am 14(almost 15) and will be riding on steep,dirt,forest trails.Ive been looking at getting a "mongoose" after looking into other brands that turned me off with expensive prices.I need to stay under $350 while still getting a good deal and is worth the money.

Look at the Giant boulder and maybe the Giant boulder SE
Also look at the cheap treks or Gary fishers.
