I just recently got into bass fishing. When I was growing up my dad and I always went fishing but he wanted to crappie fish ALL the time. I really didn't bass fish that much. Now im 22 years young and im really into bass fishing. My question is, what would the best pole and reel combo be to get me the best "bang for my buck"? im not trying to spend over 100 dollars. Any kind of info would be great.
Or would buying a pole and the reel be better? If so what brands are pretty good?

At Walmart you could pick up a Shakespeare complete with reel for twenty to thirty bucks, no problem. The good reels are under glass, but if you just got a rod, then an under-the-glass reel for 70 bucks, you'd have a sick set-up. Throw in some weights and lures, you're set.
