Help me, my iPhone wont download anything!!!!!!?

It says eveytime i try to update or download that I need a secure conenction and that i should check the time/date which had nothing do with it... I just put my connection back on because the old wire broke. Do I have to relog the connection since I havent yet singed out of it since wire broke?? HElppppppppppppppp
