I saw it, by accident, years ago, on BBC2, and would love to buy the DVD.
It's about a young woman that gets the comedy 'bang on head', and it makes her a bit simple. Various villains try to take advantage, but there's a Nice Guy that cares for her ..... and amuses her by doing an impression of a monkey.
Needless to say, she gets the Second Bang On Head, which turns her back to normal, and her (rich) parents rescue her.
The final scene is her and parents, on a train, and Nice Guy is doing his Monkey Impression on the platform as the train pulls out of the station (to try and get her to recognise him), and she just looks down her nose at him. "Look at that peasant, Mummy! What a horrible man." Trust me, it's heartbreaking.
Does anyone out there know what I'm talking about, or did I just dream it?
