Help me find a song 80s - I Think...

So every time I go to stores like Ross and Marshalls they play this 80's song that sounRAB very similar to Chocolate by Snow Patrol; my girlfriend has been looking for the OG version for a while, and neither of us can find it, any ideas? I believe, though I may be incorrect the 80s version has different lyrics but the same music...thanks for the help

It's like a soft, pop, love song. It's definitely not Snow Patrol. Do you think Snow Patrol did a remake? I need help finding the original song. Can you help me?
