Help me figure out my ATT bill!?

You will still have to pay the overage and you will be pro-rated for one day of the unlimited.. so any texts you do after this point will go towards the unlimited. Pro-rated means that since you didn't start the unlimited on the day of your new cycle you will have to pay a portion of (one day in this case) the cost of a full month of unlimited. Hope that makes sense!

I had a 1500 text plan, but I sent 2805, which is a pretty large overage. The new bill cycle starts tomorrow, Sunday the 6th, and just tonight I tried to change my plan to unlimited texts. Does anyone know if this transaction will be in effect immediately, so that I don't have to pay the overage? This is what the ATT site has to say: "Features that you add to your plan are effective immediately. Data features added after your billing start date will be pro-rated for some plans." I would think that this is good news, but I don't know what pro-rated means!

The new plan will start immediately but you will still have to pay the overage for the other text messages. You made them before you changed the plan. The same thing happened to me I switched to unlimited text kids send a few thousand each month, me 2 or 3.
