I have a beautiful betta fish and I was looking at him the other day and I notice one of his gills had a little white spot to it and it was a little bigger than the other side. I didn't think to much of it just a little spot! Then earlier today, I cleaned my fish tank and his gill has become inflamed more and the white spot looks embedded in his gill. When he swims away, there is a little white spot with in his gill and it is always is open wide. It also had a hangy thing from this gill the other day. I know it is not ick. Also, he does not do much anymore. he sits in his car sideways and he only eats one pellet of food when he used to eat more and he just isn't active anymore. He just isn't himself. Also under his chin, he has no more color, its white color, but still a hint of his blue color. He is a dark blue fish with many colors on the fins. I know its not ick, I thought it could be gill fluke or cancer. But if it was gill fluke, would it be too late to treat him? Its been over a week its been like that. Please help me! I want him to be happy again. Sorry that this was long but please help me and Spanky!
