Hi,
Im 16 years old and I want to make it to the pro hockey/NHL - can I (Im around 5'9", 175 lbs)? I know how to skate decently (although i can use some work on it) and i know how the game works. However, I have never played any organized hockey (just street hockey/stick and puck). What route would be the best way to make it to pro hockey? I live in Vancouver so I'm assuming to sign up with the minor hockey association here then if im good enough trying out for the ECHL or something...What are the odds of making it even to the echl?
However, lets say i fail in being a player, would i be able to be an nhl gm or coach? what subjects would i need to take in school? should i look for an internship or something? has there ever been a coach or gm who hasnt played junior hockey at least?
Thanks
