Help! Laptop dropped on floor,cd-dvd drive will not open-nor work.?

My toshiba laptop had a falll from my desk a few months ago. Its been working fine but I realized the only injury from that fall was the cd-dvd rom drive. I iused a needle to open it up and it showed abosolutely no signs of power.

Can anyone explain to me how to fix it if it spearated from the motherboard ?can someone tell me what to do if i have to conect the drive insider?
