Okay, so for homework I had to write two paragraphs about a world event for my contemporary world problems class. Is this right? Cause I really need a good grade.

The Chinese is a communist government. In 1950, one of China's armed forces, the “People's Liberation Army” Invaded Tibet. They made what they called a Seventeen Point Agreement, which states that Tibet is under China's rule. Being communist, China soon tried to conform Tibet's social and religious differences. Many Tibetans try to rebel, which the Chinese government responded to in a violent manor.

To the day, Tibet is still trying to break free of China. On March 10, 2008, the Tibetan Uprising began. It is suggested by many people to boycott the Beijing Olympics. The reasoning behind this is to show our disapproval to China in the worldwide event they're hosting in hopes that they will set the Tibetans free. There have been many peaceful protests in both America and Tibet, along with violent riots in Tibet – none have which have currently been successful. The Dalai Lama, Tibet's religious and political leader, wishes not to boycott the Olympics, but many monks and Tibetan citizens living in Tibet wish to do so.
Oh and is there anything that I should add about the china-tibet issue?
