longer? cuz mine seems "mad".? i feel bad for it :( is it normal for it to do tht?) i read a whole instruction manual how to take care of a beta fish....the water is fine....i feed him normally...idk whats wrong with him :[

If you haven't had him for very long, he might just be a little stressed out and upset about his surroundings. Give him some time to calm down, and try to keep new stressers (like constantly peeking in, lots of movement, new vibrations) away from his tank.

Hope he cheers up :)

what is the lighting like? he could just be seeing his reflection in the glass of his tank. my betta Cotton was flaring one night and i realized that after i had turned off a lamp that was next to his tank, he could see his reflection(because of the light in his tank creating a mirror) now i have to turn off both lights around the same time. a little bit of flaring isn't too stressful though. i hope your betta does better.
