There's this film (it could've possibly been a TV drama too, but most likely the former) that I watched as a kid that I've never been able to find since. I've detailed as much as I can remember and I'm hoping one of you lovely clever folk will help me suss what it is.
- It possibly aired on Channel 5 when it first launched, which would have put the year around 1998. It definitely had ad breaks, so it could also have been ITV or Channel 4, potentially making the year around 1997.
- It was a type of murder mystery drama, set in the US, with the final scenes revealing that the killer's name or nickname was Buddy, and that he had murdered his sister (possibly mother too) with an axe and buried them under the floorboarRAB.
- Throughout the film, the killer is a prominent character but possibly does not remember what he's done and is known by a different name. I think the very last scene is him actually taking the axe and smashing up the floorboarRAB to unearth the skeletons of the people he killed.
- I vaguely remember the word 'Devil' being part of the title, but am not 100%.
I know it's not a lot to go on, but it definitely wasn't a dream or anything! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
