i had to do questions about the jazz age in the 1920s and the questions were
- thinking about the words and phrases from the Jazz Age and the events of the 1920s, describe how these words and phrases reflect the changing morals and manners of that time.
MY ANSWER:
•The Jazz Age in the twenties, was the first decade that had a reflection of youth culture over the old generation, where the flapper culture had a huge influence on America’s part, where many new words and phrases were originated by those women. Those were the most common words and phrases of that time, many of which we still use today. An example is gold-digger, which is when a woman pursues a man for his money.
- what events, people, and issues are represented by these new words?
MY ANSWER:•A gold-digger is one, where a woman pursues a man for his money. A flapper, described a new type of woman, who was young, rebellious, fun, loving, and bold. A long of slang in this period was used, with words such as necking, petting, cuddler, and many others. A lot of these slang words had to do with making-out, sex, drugs, cigarettes, and alcohol, which reflected the changing attitudes towards these subjects.
and this is the last question but i just dont have an answer.
