Help - I think my computer may be hacked? Zonealarm alerts turned off on their own?

Over the past couple of days I've been getting SO many Zonealarm alerts (protecting from incoming connections) ... They come all at once then stop.

Well, at first I thought it was nothing but then checked the "Alert Events Shown" box, and the alerts had turned themselves off. Either that or whatever gained access to my computer did?


My question is, does ZA ever turn these alerts off on its own, or is it likely that something weird is going on? Should I reformat my comp?
can a virus do this?
 
might be virus happen to me once that virus turn my anti-virus off and the worst part is that my anti-virus cant even tell that it a virus lol (stupid shixx)
