Help,I have 2001 Jeep Cherokee and it's cold?

Here it is winter and my heater blows out only cold air.the blower works and someone told me to replace the thermostat because my temp.was only getting up to about 170to175.I did that but the temp has not changed.please help me,the weather here will be 17 tonight and I work outside at night, Thanks for any help
 
If the engine itself does not heat up to the right temperature, (should be about 210 I believe), then its most likely the thermostat. Replace that, and if the engine reaches the right temp but you're still getting cold air, replace your heating coil.
