Help! I gave a guy my number and I shouldn't have. Now what should I do?

I'm a new freshman in college and an older guy asked for my number at a party. It was loud and dark and I didn't know what to do in the heat of the moment, so I just put it in his phone. He texted me today just saying he enjoyed meeting me, and now I don't know what to do. I don't want anything to do with him but I feel bad that I gave him my number, probably leading him to believe I did. It makes me uncomfortable to think about him having my number and wanting to see me again when I barely remember what he looks like. What should I do?

Just take it easy and keep it cool. No need to panic here at all. Here's what you do. Continue to reply to his texts, but keep them very brief, short and to the point. If he's smart he should get the message that you're not interested. Keep the texts on a friend basis. He will know that you're not trying to lead him on and that you're not into him. Just because you gave him you're number it doesn't mean you're interested, it could just mean that you're a kind person etc... If things to get too out of hand then you maye have to change your number or just tell him straight that you're not interested.
