Help, i cant shift this illness!?

It's been going on a few weeks now. It started off with my whole body feeling achy with a headache and going hot to cold, I felt better for a day but then had a full on head cold that left me in bed for 5 days. Since then I have had a cough which seems to be getting worse not better, my chest feels very much like I may be getting an infection. I'm also asthmatic which I'm constantly using my inhaler. I have seen a doctor but she said they can't give me anything except paracetamol as I am 23 weeks pregnant. I feel so guilty as I am keeping my partner who works long hours awake and I have no energy to play with my 3 year old daughter. Help please, I want this to be gone
