I commute to work, it's about a forty minute drive. At the end of my journey, I was coming off the motorway and slowing down when there was a bang on the front left of my car. It sounded like I hit a pot hole or something. The clutch went limp and I hobbled to somewhere safe. I got out and had a look, but I couldn't see anything obvious.
I was not far from home so I decided to go for it, the lower gears really croaked but I made it back. Now when I try it, I can't get the car in gear. If I put it in gear with the engine off, and then start it up, the car jumps forward and then stalls. The clutch has gone completely lifeless and barely springs back when I take my foot off.
Any help in telling me what's wrong, how long it will take to fix and how much would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much,
Ash
