My mother received two 1/2 breed puppies (chihuahua and rat terrier) from her neighbor. The puppies are 8 weeks old. One of the puppies is in great condition, he runs and plays and eats well. Unfortunately, the other one is in a rather sad state. This puppy is MUCH smaller than the other dog. In fact, to me the puppy's body looks like that of a new born. However, the head appears to have grown some, and is nearly the size of the healthy puppy's head (I included this in case it means something). The dog is extremely weak, and doesn't do anything besides seek warmth and sleep. I do not live with my family now, but I am very concerned because my 10 and 7 year old brothers have grown close to the puppy. IMO the future of this puppy is bleak, but I want to do all that I can for it. Any suggestions?
