My mother received a doll as a toddler. He was a gift from a family friend who won him at a carnival, but I have no idea how long the friend had him before giving him to my mother. She (my mother) has memories of playing with him as early as 3 years old, and she was born in '59. I am trying to find out who made him, and any history I can on him. He is a vinyl or rubber type material and:
- he is 24-25 inches tall
- blue sleep eyes
- molded brown hair
- open mouth that originally had two top teeth (my mother remembers pulling them when she was 3)
- he is a solid doll, but his body bends at his upper thigh, crotch area
- two dimples molded on each knee
- his hands and feet are very detailed, including finger nails and knuckle lines
- his head can be turned completely around
- his original clothes were blue and white, and are put away separately from the doll, which was given to me many years ago, I will try to find them and give more information as to the style and any markings
On the back of his neck is "(C) EEGEE" and on his upper back is EEGEE and directly under that is 26G
And if anyone can identify him, I would also like to know how to clean him safely... you can tell he belonged to a farm girl
