Help! How can I be a professional ASP.Net Web Developer?

I just had a job with a new software company and I have been assigned to be a C# programmer and an ASP.Net web developer. Since the company is new, there is no one in the company, at the moment to teach me the C# and the ASP in the professional way.

I want to know if I continue reading books I will be a professional ASP.Net web developer?

NB: I have a strong background of VB.net.

Any advice??
