i have a 4x4 jeep grand cherokee its a 2000 model. it makes a grinding sound only when i break. the weird thing is that the noise is coming from the gear changig thingamagigger (in the middle of both seats) . ive taken it to 3 mechanics with totally bogus answers. 1 says that its normal for a jeep to do that and to put fish oil on it???? 2 says that is a vacuum noise where the air is somehow coming through the panel. 3 says its the break booster. mechanic 1 and 2 say its not booster. because if it were then the pedal would get hard, which its not. please help.
